STUDIO OKULAR was founded in 2014. In collaboration with architects, light companies and artists STUDIO OKULAR develops and realizes holistic light concepts. ANDREA GRASER (Mag. arch. Dr. techn.) – architect, graduated from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL in London, civil engineer since 2013, doctor of technical sciences since 2021. Specialized in the material light in architecture. Author of the book Light up – The potential of light in Museum Architecture, published by Birkhäuser in 2023. From 2001 to 2014 design and project partner at the architectural office Coop Himmelb(l)au in Vienna. In 2014 she founded her own architecture and lighting design office Studio Okular in Vienna, since then she has been a planning partner for architecture offices and museums in the field of light and architecture. Together with the artist Friedrich Biedermann, she has been researching the object-oriented ontology of light at the interface of art, space and architecture for over 20 years.
